Privacy Policy — UZYTAK Reader
Last updated: 7 October 2026
In short
UZYTAK Reader works offline on your phone. There is no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your books and notes stay on your phone; UZYTAK does not collect, receive, share or sell any data.
Books, notes and settings
The library, reading progress, bookmarks, highlights, notes and reading settings are stored only in the app's private storage on your phone. Your book files stay in their folders; the app only remembers where they are.
"Find all books on the phone"
This feature is optional. Only when you tap it does the app ask for all files access (Android 11 and newer) or read access to storage (older Android versions). The access is used only to find book files on the phone and read them. Nothing is uploaded. You can withdraw the access at any time in Android settings.
Files from other apps
When you open a book from the file picker, "Open with" or "Share", the app receives only the file you chose.
Read aloud
Read aloud (Pro) uses your phone's text-to-speech engine (for example Google text-to-speech). The app passes the text to be read to that engine on your phone; the engine works under its provider's settings and privacy policy. UZYTAK receives nothing.
Data we do not collect
No account is needed. We collect no personal data, no list of your books, no locations, advertising identifiers or usage analytics. There is no cloud storage, no server and no sync between devices.
Sharing and export
Exported highlights and notes (Pro) and files you share leave the phone only when you share or save them yourself; the terms of the service you choose then apply.
Purchases
The Pro purchase is processed through Google Play Billing under Google's privacy policy; the app uses the internet only for this and receives from Google Play only the confirmation of your purchase.
Deleting data
You can remove books, bookmarks, highlights and notes in the app. Uninstall the app, or clear its data in Android settings, and the library, notes and settings are removed from the phone. Your own book files in Downloads, Telegram or other folders are not touched.
Children
UZYTAK Reader collects no data from anyone, so it does not knowingly collect any data from children either.
