In short
UZYTAK Viewer works offline on your PC. There is no account, no ads, no analytics, no telemetry and no tracking. Your photos and videos stay on your PC; UZYTAK does not collect, receive, share or sell any data.
Your files
The app reads photos and videos only on your PC and only when you open a folder or a file — in the app, by dragging it into the window, or with “Open with”. Nothing is uploaded. Files change only on your command: “Fix the name” renames a file, deleting moves it to the Recycle Bin, and “Set as desktop background” sets your wallpaper. Rotating changes only the view.
What the app stores on your PC
Thumbnails of the folders you open (a cache, so folders open faster) and settings — language, theme, pinned and recent folders, the last folder you opened — are stored only in the app's data folder on your PC. You can delete the thumbnails in Settings → “Saved thumbnails” → “Clear”.
Map
If a photo contains a GPS place, “Show on the map” opens the openstreetmap.org website in your browser — only when you click it. This sends the coordinates of that photo to OpenStreetMap, which handles them under its own privacy policy. Without your click, no location leaves your PC.
Data we do not collect
No account is needed. We collect no personal data, no file names, photos, videos or metadata, no locations, advertising identifiers, usage statistics or crash reports. There is no cloud storage, no server and no sync.
Error log
If something goes wrong, the app may write technical details of the error to a file named errors.log in the app's data folder. It never leaves your PC on its own: it reaches us only if you choose to e-mail it to support.
Links
Links in the app (website, e-mail to support, map) open your browser or e-mail program only when you click them.
Installation and updates
The app is installed and updated through the Microsoft Store, under Microsoft's privacy statement. UZYTAK Viewer is free and has no in-app purchases.
Deleting data
Uninstalling the app removes its data folder (thumbnails, settings, error log) from your PC. Your own photos and videos stay untouched.
Children
UZYTAK Viewer collects no data from anyone, so it does not knowingly collect data from children.
