In short
UZYTAK PDF works offline on your PC. There is no account, no ads, no analytics, no telemetry and no tracking. Your PDFs stay on your PC; UZYTAK does not collect, receive, share or sell any data.
Your files
The app opens a file only when you open it yourself — with “Open file”, by dragging it into the window, or with “Open with” or a double-click. Files stay where they are and are saved only where you choose. Nothing is uploaded.
What the app stores on your PC
Settings, the list of recent files (their names and locations) and signatures you save are stored only in the app's data folder on your PC. You can remove entries from the recent files list in the app.
Text recognition (OCR) and Windows
Text recognition uses the offline recognition built into Windows, on your PC; your scans are not sent anywhere for it. The languages it reads are the ones installed in Windows. Printing goes through the Windows print dialog and your printer driver.
Data we do not collect
No account is needed. We collect no personal data, no file names or contents, no locations, advertising identifiers, usage statistics or crash reports. There is no cloud storage, no server and no sync between devices.
Browser extension (Chrome, Edge)
The extension works inside the browser and your PDFs are never sent anywhere. It stores only your language and, if you use Pro, your licence key in the browser's storage. Its only network request is a one-time check of the licence key with Lemon Squeezy; no PDFs or file contents are included.
Links
Links in the app (website, e-mail to support) open your browser or e-mail program only when you click them.
Purchases
Pro for the Windows app is sold as an add-on in the Microsoft Store; Microsoft handles the purchase under its own privacy policy. We never see your payment details; the app only asks the Microsoft Store whether Pro has been purchased.
Deleting data
If you uninstall the app, its data folder (settings, recent files list, signatures) is removed from your PC. To remove the extension's data, remove the extension from your browser. Your own PDFs are never touched.
Children
UZYTAK PDF collects no data from anyone, including knowingly from children.
